Walk through the treetops, take a thrilling multimedia journey through the galaxy at a digital planetarium, meet wildlife, stroll nature trails, ride a narrow-gauge railroad, and get hands-on with family-friendly exhibits at the EcoTarium in Worcester. Set in an urban oasis, the EcoTarium is a unique indoor-outdoor museum dedicated to the study of science and nature. You’ll find a number of different exhibits, animals, and nature trails here, all of which are educational and entertaining. Families can enjoy many diverse activities, including: the Water Planet Exhibit at the Freshwater Ecosystems area of the museum; the Look, Touch, Explore exhibit; playing in the Discovery room: or getting to know a bald eagle, boa constrictor, great horned owl, a wood turtle, a red fox, and a mighty polar bear. The EcoTarium is also home to three beautiful walking trails: the Vibram Walking Trail loops around Lower Pond; the Timescape Trail has interpretive signs for the hiker; and the Meadow Trail is a nice walk through some beautiful New England fields.
